1. Do I need a visa to enter the Republic of Serbia?
Depending on your citizenship and type of travel document, you may need a visa to enter the Republic of Serbia. You can check whether you are coming from visa regime or visa-free regime countries via https://www.mfa.gov.rs/gradjani/ulazak-u-srbiju/vizni-rezim. Holders of travel documents issued according to international conventions (for refugees, stateless persons, etc.) need a visa regardless of which country issued the travel document.

2. What is visa C?
A visa for a short stay (visa C) is an authorization to enter the Republic of Serbia, transit through the territory of the Republic of Serbia or stay in the territory of the Republic of Serbia for up to 90 days in any period of 180 days, counting from the day of first entry.

3. How much is visa C application fee?
The fee for visa C is 60 euros (payment will be made in the local currency of the Republic of Serbia - dinar (RSD) at the middle exchange rate of the National Bank of Serbia). Holders of passports of China, Armenia, Mali, Pakistan and Syria are exempted from paying visa fees, in accordance with bilateral agreements.

4. What is visa D?
A visa for a long stay (visa D) is an authorization to enter and stay in the territory of the Republic of Serbia for a period of 90 to 180 days.

5. How much is visa D application fee?
The fee for visa D is 30 euros (payment will be made in the local currency of the Republic of Serbia - dinar (RSD) at the middle exchange rate of the National Bank of Serbia). Holders of passports of China, Armenia, Mali, Pakistan and Syria are exempted from paying visa fees, in accordance with bilateral agreements.

6. Which documentation do I need to attach when applying for a visa?

7. Is visa issued in electronic form?
Visas in electronic form are not issued yet. You need to visit the diplomatic and consular representation office that approved your request, so that your visa can be entered in the travel document with which you intend to enter the Republic of Serbia.

8. How to obtain a short-stay visa for holders of passports of the People's Republic of China – Taiwan?
Holders of passports of the People's Republic of China - Taiwan can apply for a short-stay visa (visa C) in person at the relevant diplomatic-consular mission or through the Welcome to Serbia portal.
If the request for issuing a visa for a short stay (visa C) is submitted in person, the visa is issued on the same day, and if it is submitted online, it is necessary to make an appointment at the competent diplomatic-consular mission of the Republic of Serbia to collect the visa.

9. If the visa application is approved, do I have to visit the diplomatic and consular representation office in person?
After your visa application has been approved, you need to contact the diplomatic-consular mission of the Republic of Serbia through which you have submitted the application to arrange the delivery method of the travel document in order to have the visa sticker inserted. In certain cases, your presence in person is required.

10. How can I be informed about the status of my request?
You can check the status of your request at any time via https://evisa.welcometoserbia.gov.rs/myrequests/index.
If you applied for a Visa, all notifications from the competent authority will arrive via email, to the email address you provided when creating an account on the Welcome to Serbia portal.
All notifications regarding the request for residence and the Single Permit will be sent to your eDatabox (eSanduče). You can access your eDatabox (eSanduče) after logging in to the Welcome to Serbia portal.

11. For what period is temporary residence or single permit granted?
Temporary residence can be granted for up to three years and can be extended for the same period, depending on the basis of stay.

12. How much is the temporary residence or single permit application fee?
The fee for temporary residence/single permit includes:

submission fee amounting to 380.00 RSD;

temporary residence/single permit fee amounting to 20.790,00 RSD.
Exceptions:
Fee for the approval of temporary residence on the basis of marriage or extramarital union with a citizen of the Republic of Serbia or kinship with a citizen of the Republic of Serbia - 10,395.00 RSD.
If the foreign citizen is a citizen of North Macedonia, Mongolia, Cyprus or Belarus, they only pay the submission fee.

13. What is a single permit?
Single permit is a permit for temporary residence and work of a foreign citizen in the Republic of Serbia. You can submit a request for a single permit exclusively electronically through the portal https://welcometoserbia.gov.rs.
Single permit can be issued on the basis of employment if one of the closer reasons is as follows:

Employment on the basis of an employment contract or other contract by which rights in accordance with the Labour Law are exercised;

Self-employment;

Referred person;
-
Movement within the company;
-
Independent professional;
-
Training and development.

14. Who can apply for a single permit?
A request for a single permit can be submitted by a natural person or an employer on behalf of a natural person.
If the request is submitted by a natural person independently, it is necessary to have an account created on the portal for electronic identification (https://eid.gov.rs/sr-Cyrl-RS/kako-registrovati-eid-nalog).
If the request is submitted by the employer, it is necessary for the employer to have an account created on the eGovernment portal, to register, as well as for the legal representative to authorize the person and assign them the role "Working with Foreign Citizens".
The "Working with Foreign Citizens" role allows group application for Visa D for the purpose of travel, employment, and the Single Permit for Residence and Work. Detailed instructions for employers can be found at https://euprava.gov.rs/zahtevi_za_strance.

15. How can I fill out a Vacancy Registration Form (PPZ)?
If you are a company or an entrepreneur, you can find the Vacancy registration service at the following link https://euprava.gov.rs/usluge/6835. You can also fill out the PPZ form on the Portal for Foreign Citizens, when submitting your application.

16. How will I be informed of the decision by the competent authority?
All notices, decisions and other acts related to the request for residence and the single permit are delivered by the competent authority exclusively through the eDatabox (eSanduče), if you submitted the request for a temporary residence permit or a single permit electronically. If you submitted the request as an employer, the notifications will arrive in the eDatabox (eSanduče) of the legal entity.
Note: "Working with foreign citizens" role does not provide access to the eDatabox (eSanduče), it must be assigned separately

17. What document does the Republic of Serbia issue when granting temporary residence to a foreign citizen?
Temporary residence permit, i.e. a permit for temporary residence and work (Single Permit) is issued as a biometric document, in the form of a card.

18. Can I leave the Republic of Serbia with the Confirmation of Receipt of Request and re-enter while the request is still being processed?
If you are coming from a visa-free regime country, you can leave the Republic of Serbia while your request is being processed. If you are coming from a visa regime country, you can leave the country during the period of validity of the visa, but a valid visa is required for each new entry. The confirmation of receipt of the application cannot replace the visa.

19. When filling out the request, I entered certain data incorrectly, how can I correct this?
Request data can be changed only if the status of the request is “being supplemented”. The competent authority will check the request and if it requires a supplement, you will be able to make the correction in accordance with the instructions they provide.

20. I paid the fee before submitting the request. How can I attach a payment confirmation?
Payments made outside of this Portal cannot be taken into account. Submitting a request through the Portal implies payment at the last step in order for the request to be forwarded to the competent authority.

21. When will a decision be made regarding my request?
You can monitor the status of the request through the Portal where you submitted the request. The competent authority decides upon the request and makes a decision depending on whether the conditions are met.

22. Who can submit a request through the Portal for foreign citizens?
All persons who are 18 years of age or older can apply for a temporary residence or visa through the Portal for foreign citizens. The request for minors can be submitted only in person to the competent authority.

23. Is it possible to get a confirmation of the paid fee through the Portal when applying for a temporary residence or visa?
It is not possible to get a confirmation of the payment made through the Portal for Foreign Citizens.

24. I would like to cancel/suspend a request submitted through the Portal for Foreign Citizens. Is that possible?
It is not possible to cancel a request submitted through the Portal. In the event that it is necessary to suspend the decision upon the request, based on the needs of the applicant, the person should contact the competent authority.

25. When trying to apply for an extension of stay, the system asks me to enter a visa number that I do not have because it is an extension of stay, what do I need to do?
If the system asks for a Visa ID when applying for an extension of residence, it means that you have registered the account without a registration number for foreigners (EBS).
In these situations, it is considered that you are applying for initial residence and the entry of the Visa ID or the date of entry into the Republic of Serbia if you are coming from a visa-free regime country is required. You need to contact support via email office@ite.gov.rs and make a request for your existing account to be deleted. After that, you need to register a new account with an EBS number.

26. How do I complete my visa application?
If you submitted your visa application through the Welcome to Serbia portal, you need to complete the application on the portal. The prerequisite for supplementing your request is to log in to the portal and that the status of your request is "being supplemented". As long as your request does not have the appropriate status, you will not be able to supplement it.

27. How do I supplement the application for residence and the Single Permit?
If you submitted your request for residence through the Welcome to Serbia portal, you need to complete the request on the portal. The prerequisite for supplementing your request is to log in to the portal and that the status of your request is "being supplemented". As long as your request does not have the appropriate status, you will not be able to supplement it. You will receive a document in your eDatabox (eSanduče)on the Welcome to Serbia portal containing information on which documents you need to supplement.
You need to complete the request for a Single Permit on the Welcome to Serbia portal. The prerequisite for supplementing your request is to log in to the portal and that the status of your request is "being supplemented". As long as your request does not have the appropriate status, you will not be able to supplement it. You will receive a document in your eDatabox (eSanduče) on the Welcome to Serbia portal containing information on which documents you need to supplement.
If the request for the Single Permit was submitted by the employer, the supplementation requests will be placed in the eDatabox (eSanduče) of the employer/legal entity.
